We don't have a lot of money, nor do I want a whole lot more things and since were having a second girl we won't need clothes. Our littles will also be 20 months apart when our second is born so, here is my simple list for baby number 2 with having 2 under 2.

We don't plan to get a whole lot of things but with having our littles so close together there are a few things we need to get as well as a couple things I want to upgrade from the first time around to hopefully make things easier on all of us.
1) Double stroller
We plan to get a double stroller for our 2 littles, and the one were going with is the Graco Ready2Grow™ LX 2.0 Double Stroller this stroller has all the perks of the Uppa baby Vista but without the hefty price tag, and bonus it comes with all the attachments so you don't have to purchase them separately. We also like this one because we already have the Graco SnugFit 35 Infant Car Seat so our infant car seat will click right into this stroller too.
2) Convertible car seat
I am currently on a waiting list to see if I will be able to get one for free but the one I would like to purchase if we aren't able to get a free one is the Graco 4Ever DLX 4-in-1 Convertible car seat because it will fit in our car and also has the option to be rear facing if we decide we want to try to keep our toddler rear facing until she is 2.
3) Floor bed
I would love to get the hybrid mattress from 5 Little Monkeys because it is waterproof on one side and made from all non-toxic materials and the outside layer is organic, the website also claims their design helps prevent your little one from rolling off onto the floor, which won't be too big a deal for us since we plan to move our toddler to this on the floor.
The other part of this set up would be I would like to get this Bed Frame, or my husband may build something similar to go around it not that it is necessary, but it will help make her bed look more beautiful and a little less ghetto/hill-billy if you get what I mean.
4) More cloth diapers and wipes
I have already purchased most of the cloth diapers we will need for having 2 in diapers, but I may still get a couple more and I will need more cloth wipes since I use those about 70% of the time. I will leave some of my favorite cloth diaper brands at the end if you are interested in checking that out. I will also be making a whole post on Cloth diapering in the future so leave your email here so you don't miss that.
5) Half buckle carrier
I plan to get a half buckle carrier so that I can wear both my toddler and newborn at the same time, I wore my first a lot when she was little and I'm sure I will wear my second even more so my hands will be free to do housework and caring for my toddler, but there are some days even now when I wish I had a carrier that can hold my toddler for days she is sick or just needing more connection and attention with and from me. The brand I'm looking at is Lenny Lamb the reason I'm looking at half buckle carriers is because they don't have a chest buckle that will be in my newborns face while wearing both of them so they will both be comfortable, but there are lots of other carrier options and they sell a lot of different styles so feel free to check those out too. I will also be making a post about my favorite carriers and baby wearing so subscribe to my email list if you want to hear about that too.
6) Upgrading our bassinet
For our first we had one of those Walmart/target bassinets that was given to us from a family at our church and it worked well but this time around I want something open to our bed to help make night feedings easier and transferring either easier or unnecessary, I am also a huge fan of natural and non-toxic materials for the health of my family so that lead me to the babybay. We have a really tall bed, so we need to go with the maxi tall option, but they have a few different styles and several different finishes to suit your tase and decor. It's a bit more expensive but its everything I am looking for in a bassinet and I know it will help all of us get better sleep.
7) Silver nursing cups
I would really love to try some silver nursing cups this time around to help with healing sore nipples. My last time around nursing I was having pain and soreness for the first three months, and I want to try some different things to see if I can help that resolve a bit faster, the ones I'm looking at are These ones by Elegant Mommy simply for the fact that they were less expensive than some of the other brands I was seeing and they are not sold by a big box store. My understanding is that as long as they are genuine silver, they should all work the same because the silver is what does the healing and in the least the cooling effects will feel nice.
8) Pacifiers
I plan to get a couple more Pacifiers, my absolute favorite ones and the only ones my daughter took for any amount of time were these but ninnico. These pacifiers are amazing, they are the only ones that have baby latch actually like nursing on the breast and they also help improve babies latch because of that, in addition to all the other benefits of using a pacifier. If you choose to use one, I highly recommend these. Some other things I love about this brand is that it is ran by 2 mommas and they are Christian women so I know they have values I can stand behind and it's supporting a small business too. They also come in lots of different cute colors for both boys and girls to meet most people's style and esthetic.
9) Blinds
My toddler's nursery currently has curtains that I made for her, but they still let in a lot of light so I'm planning to get her some light blocking blinds to help her fall asleep better and stay asleep longer in the summer months, these are the ones I'm looking at, Redi Shade, Cordless Cellular Blackout Fabric Shade.
10) Toothbrush
My toddler will need a new big girl toothbrush, I plan to just purchase the 10 pack Kids Bamboo toothbrushes from Coco Stripes. This is a cute small business run by a really sweet and lovely woman who sells sustainable home products, I have several of her kitchen storage things and they get used often in my home and I know these toothbrushes will be the same. The cool thing is once my toddler has chewed the bristles off of them I can just throw them in my compost, and they can help my vegetable plants grow so no loosing there.
11) Cloth pads
The last thing I will hopefully be getting is some cloth pads that can handle postpartum. I have never liked tampons so I knew a menstrual cup would likely never have worked for me when I started looking for a more sustainable and nontoxic menstrual product. Cloth pads seemed like an obvious choice for me, but I'm still in the process of building my stash. I currently have a small set from off amazon that works great for regular day time and a few panty liners that I bought from a cloth diapering website but I don't have any heavy flow/overnight ones, so I found These on Etsy and plan to purchase them and give them a try.
Other Resources:
Cloth Diapers:
Sadly, my favorite overnight diaper website is currently not running because the mommy who runs the business temporarily closed it because she just had her third little baby so I can't leave that one for you guys.
Inserts:
Note: These are my plans and goals, but things don't always turn out the way we want them too or happen the way we expect, and I am always open to other options if they arise. For example, we were given a crib with a toddler railing so my daughter ended up moving to that instead of a floor bed, but it fulfilled the same purpose, she also currently has some blankets helping keep her room darker rather than the blinds and it will probably stay that way for a while if we ever actually get the blinds for her room. I also ended up making my cloth pads because I had the stuff to do it. I just wanted to add this to bring some transparency here and help curb any feelings of comparison or insufficiency.
